Features & Benefits

Product Features
Product Feature

Phenalkamine adducts provide the following advantages in comparison with standard phenalkamine or polyamidoamine hardeners because of their anticipated pre-reaction, due to the standardized addition of the hardener along with a part of the required epoxy resin:

  • Improved resistance to atmospheric humidity and cold
  • Reduced surface tackiness
  • Improved flow properties and water spot resistance even at very low temperatures
  • Long pot life combined with rapid drying and good curing
  • Quick recoatability even under adverse application conditions
  • Phenalkamine adduct for fast-curing solvent-based or high solids marine coatings.

Technical Details & Test Data

Mix Ratio

The mix ratio of Araldite® GZ 7071 X 75 to ARADUR®3467 XW 70 should be selected as 100:28 up to 100:35 parts by weight. The mix ratio of Araldite® GY 250 to ARADUR® 3467 XW 70 should be selected as 100:97 up to 100:118 parts by weight. In such cases a higher proportion of hardener provides increased flexibility and adhesion, while improved chemical resistance is achieved with a reduced proportion of hardener.
