- Key Properties
- In combination with suitable epoxy resins, rapidly drying films with good flow properties, good adhesion and high gloss finish are produced.
- Because of its high degree of reactivity, coatings using Aradur 35-1 can also be applied at temperatures below 10 °C (assuming adequate circulation of air). Coatings of this kind display a less brittle character than is normally the case with rapid- curing/accelerated systems.
- The pot life of dispersion coatings formulated with Aradur 35-1 is typically limited to a maximum of 1 – 1.5 hours (loss of gloss finish). A clear increase in viscosity occurs later
- especially in highly diluted mixtures.
- When ARADUR® 35-1 is diluted further with water, a slight colloidal turbidity may occur, which usually does not lead to any precipitation until a temperature above 40 °C is reached.

- Application Information
Used with liquid epoxy resins such as Araldite® GY 776 or the emulsion PZ 33757/67, ARADUR® 35-1 is suitable for the formulation of water-based coatings for application on mineral and metallic substrates. Particularly suitable for solvent-free dispersion coatings at low temperatures.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Mix Ratio
- The recommended mix ratio of Araldite GY 776 and Aradur 35-1 is 100:200 parts by weight.
- The recommended mix ratio of Araldite PZ 33757/67 and Aradur 35-1 is 100:144 parts by weight.
- Deviations from this of up to 10% can be tolerated. In this connection, a higher proportion of hardener results in greater flexibility and better adhesion, while improved levels of anticorrosion protection are achieved with a lower proportion of hardener.
