Processing Recommendation

For casting or impregnation it is recommended to mix the Araldite® CY/Aradur® HY 9502 system components at temperatures in the range of 20°C - 30°C. The parts to be cast or impregnated should also be maintained at these same temperatures.

The Araldite® CY/Aradur® HY 9502 components can be batch mixed or mixed with either a static or dynamic in-line mixer. The working time at 25°C of this system is in the range of 90 - 100 minutes. Cure at ambient temperatures in the range of 20°C to 30°C are recommended. Adequate mechanical properties are achieved with this system (without exotherm) within 24 hours and full properties are achieved within 7 days at room ambient temperature.

Application Information

Araldite® CY 9502 Resin / Aradur® HY 9502 Hardener is recommended for casting applications of electronic devices where good mechanical strength, coupled with excellent resistance to mechanical impact and thermal cycling are required. It is ideally suited for casting of large transformer coils and magnets. The Araldite® CY 9502 Resin / Aradur® HY 9502 Hardener system can be used to cast large parts having low internal stresses
