Product Properties
  • One-component zinc-rich primers formulated with ARALDITE® GZ 7488 N 50 are storage stable and provide outstanding corrosion protection.
  • Combination with phenol or amino resins results in hotcuring systems, which show good storage stability and outstanding flexibility at relatively high solid contents.
  • The use of blocked isocyanates as hardeners for ARALDITE® GZ 7488 N 50 allows the formulation of hot-curing industrial coatings that exhibit superior surface hardness and good resistance to a variety of solvents.
  • Highly reactive anti-corrosion coatings that form films at temperatures slightly above freezing point can be formulated using polyisocyanates as hardeners.

Product Application

High molecular epoxy resin solution. It can be used with amino and phenolic resins to prepare high-toughness coil primers and can coatings. It can also be used with isocyanates to prepare highly active room-temperature curing anti-corrosion coatings.

Product Applications

ARALDITE® GZ 7488 N 50 is suitable for:

  • the formulation of one-component zinc-rich primers;
  • the formulation of highly flexible coil coating primers and container linings when used in combination with phenol or amino resins;
  • enhancing the mechanical properties of container coatings when used as a modifier in combination with “Type 7” or “Type 9” epoxy resins;
  • the formulation of highly reactive, cold-curing anti-corrosion coatings when used in combination with isocyanate hardeners.
