Features & Benefits
- Product Features
- Compared with most other ELASTAMINE polyetheramines (PEAs), such as ELASTAMINE® RP-2000 amine, ELASTAMINE® HT-1100 has higher reactivity in polymerizations due to the unhindered nature of the amines, which have no adjacent methyl groups. This higher reactivity can obviously be an advantage in polymerizations, allowing reaction at lower temperatures or shorter times and also more complete reaction.
- ELASTAMINE® PEAs have been shown to be especially useful in nylon polymers. Depending on the backbone, advantages in properties such as low temperature flexibility or moisture vapor transmission can be significantly improved.
- Improved mechanical properties
- Low temperature flexibility
- Flexural fatigue resistance
- Hydrolytic stability
- Tear strength
- Abrasion resistance
- Faster reaction than other polyetheramines
