ELASTAMINE® RT-1000

ELASTAMINE® RT-1000 polyetheramine is a polyether diamine. It is liquid at room temperature and easy to use. The terminal amino group of polyetheramine products has good activity, which makes it suitable for the modification of various polymers, such as the polycondensation reaction of polyamide (nylon) synthesis. By introducing polyetheramine into the polymer backbone, the modified product has better flexibility and low temperature performance.

Storage & Handling

Storage Information
  • ELASTAMINE® RT-1000 polyetheramine can be stored in air at room temperature for a considerable period of time, but we generally recommend storing it under nitrogen protection to reduce the risk of accidental exposure to high temperatures and reduce the product's absorption of water vapor and carbon dioxide in the air. It should be noted that as long as the temperature exceeds 140°F (60°C), even with gas protection, discoloration may occur.
  • Equipment and pipes contaminated with ELASTAMINE® RT-1000 can be cleaned with warm water and steam . In the event of an accidental spill, the area should be flushed with large amounts of water. The proper method of waste disposal is incineration in accordance with relevant federal, state or local regulations.
