EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946

EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946 is a two-component, low-density, pourable epoxy system that cures at room temperature to a carvable, wood-like product. This epoxy syntactic system has good dimensional stability under changing humidity conditions. EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946 system is easy to use and is suitable for core filling and reinforcing honeycomb panels. It is qualified to SS-9587, Type 1.

Cure Schedule

24 hours at  22°C - 26°C or room temperature gel plus 1 - 3 hours at 66°C.

Mix Ratio Data

To 100 parts by weight of Epocast® 169A-1 resin, add 20 parts by weight of Hardener 946. Mix both components thoroughly for 3 - 5 minutes to ensure complete and uniform mixing.

Storage & Handling

Storage Conditions
  • EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946 should be stored in a dry place, in the sealed original container, at temperatures between +2°C and +40°C (+35.6°F and 104°F). EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946 should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Under these storage conditions, and when supplied under Huntsman standard certification, EPOCAST® 169 A-1/946 has a shelf life of 1 year (expiration date may differ based on customer specification).
  • Material temperatures should be above 18°C (65°F) when mixing. After use, tightly reseal containers.
