JEFFOL® A-630 polyol is used primarily in rigid spray polyurethane foam systems based on aromatic amine polyols and polymeric isocyanates. The addition of 5 weight percent JEFFOL® A-630 polyol to the resin blend component results in a 50% to 60% reduction in component viscosity at 25°C. This lower viscosity allows for improved system processing in the spray application equipment. While there are no significant changes in most the physical properties of the foam, there are improvements in compressive strength and dimensional stability. The addition of as little as 1% of JEFFOL® A-630 polyol to the resin blend component will increase the reaction profile of the polyurethane foam system, at the same catalysis level. For this reason, 1% to 5% weight of JEFFOL® A-630 polyol in the resin blend component is recommended for rigid spray polyurethane foam systems. CAUTION: JEFFOL® A-630 polyol contains an amine group which makes this compound extremely reactive towards isocyanates and, consequently, must not be used to make prepolymers or quasi-prepolymers. If used to prepare a prepolymer, the reaction is violent and uncontrollable.

Storage & Handling
- Storage Information
In order to maintain the high degree of purity, with which JEFFOL® polyols are made, they should be stored under a dry, inert gas blanket, such as nitrogen to minimize contamination from contact with air and water.
