NYCHEM® 1572 X 64

NYCHEM® 1572 X 64 is a heat-reactive, medium-nitrile acrylonitrile-butadiene latex featuring synthetic anionic surfactants for excellent chemical and mechanical stability. Its smaller particle size ensures improved web penetration and faster drying, ideal for binder and adhesive applications. This versatile polymer is used in adhesives, friction materials, abrasive paper backing, saturants, and paper and textile coatings. With medium acrylonitrile content, it offers strong chemical, grease, oil, tear, and abrasion resistance, as well as flexibility and impact resistance. The heat-reactive functionality enables self-crosslinking above 150°C, enhancing performance, while vulcanization with a sulfur donor further improves toughness and chemical resistance.

Storage & Handling

Storage Condition
  • NYCHEM® latexes are aqueous dispersions of colloidal polymer particles. They are subject to freezing and to gelation. Frozen latex cannot be salvaged. Gelation may occur at temperatures below 60°F. Gelled latex should be placed in a heated room and warmed gradually. Gentle stirring after heating helps break the gel.
  • NYCHEM® 1570X64 latex should be stored in a dry place, in the sealed original containers, at temperatures between +16°C - +32°C (+61°F and +90°F). Under these storage conditions, the product has a shelf life of 6 months (from date of manufacture). The products should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
