ARALDITE® EPN 1180 A 85 is a multifunctional epoxy resin with more than two epoxy groups per molecule, offering high cross-link density when properly cured. EPN resins, including EPN 1179 and EPN 1138 SP, provide better chemical and high-temperature resistance compared to standard bisphenol A epoxy resins. These resins are ideal for high-performance applications that require excellent chemical and solvent resistance. They can be used alone or blended with bisphenol A and F epoxy resins for enhanced performance. EPN resins are suitable for two-component systems with room temperature cure, forced cure, or heat cure options.

HuntsmanARALDITE® GY 285
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Product Functions:Binder, Resins, Binders & Matrix Materials
  • Product End Uses:Composite Materials, Construction Applications, Floorings, Trowelling Compound
  • Material Compatibility:Metal Substrate, Mineral Substrate, Polyamine Polymers
  • Processing & Application Methods:Casting, Filament Winding, Impregnation, Pultrusion, Resin Transfer Molding (RTM)
  • Product Features:Chemical Resistance, Crystallization Resistance, High Reactivity, Low Viscosity
  • Physical Form:Liquid

ARALDITE® GY 285, alone or blended with epoxy resins based on bisphenol A or bisphenol A/F in combination with polyamine hardeners, is recommended for solvent-free coatings, impregnations, floorings, and trowelling compounds applied to steel and concrete substrates. Also, when combined with aromatic diamines, GY 285 is suitable for advanced composite applications manufactured through RTM filament winding. The reactivity of formulations based on ARALDITE® GY 285 is similar to that of unmodified bisphenol A epoxy resins. The chemical resistance of systems based on ARALDITE® GY 285 is comparable to that of liquid bisphenol A epoxy resins and significantly better than that of resins modified with reactive diluents. Under adverse storage conditions, ARALDITE® GY 285 may crystallize, but this can be reversed by heating the resin to 40°C while stirring. ARALDITE® GY 285 is miscible in all proportions with other epoxy resins, and the addition of at least 25% bisphenol A epoxy resin or epoxy phenol novolac will practically eliminate the tendency to crystallize. ARALDITE® GY 285 is sanctioned by FDA 175.300 CFR for contact with food.

HuntsmanARALDITE® MY 0600
  • Product Functions:Binder, Hardener, Resins, Binders & Matrix Materials
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Product End Uses:Laminates, Laminating Adhesive, Structural Components
  • Glass Transition Temperature (Tg):215.0 - 240.0 °C
  • Product Features:Good Stiffness, Good Toughness, High Glass Transition Temperature, High Modulus, High Performance, Low Viscosity

ARALDITE® MY 0600 multifunctional resin is particularly effective in a wide variety of formulating applications, including composites, adhesives, and laminating systems. Caution must be exercised in the selection of hardeners and cure conditions due to its rapid cure characteristics. Even moderate amounts, when cured with aliphatic amines, can develop sufficient exotherm to cause charring and smoke evolution. This can also occur if aromatic amine-hardened systems are gelled at excessively high temperatures or if catalysts, such as boron trifluoride monoethylamine, are used alone or in conjunction with aromatic hardeners. ARALDITE® MY 0600 is a triglycidyl of meta-aminophenol.

HuntsmanHYPOX® RF 1321 CB1
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Processing & Application Methods:Filament Winding
  • Product Features:Good Thermocycling Resistance, Good Toughness, High Peel Strength, High Tensile Strength, Impact Resistance, Improved Toughness, Low Temperature Applications

HYPOX® RF1321CB1 resin is an epoxy phenol novolac resin modified with CTBN. The rubber improves the toughness of cured epoxy formulations through development of two phases during cure. Formulations incorporating HYPOX® RF1321CB1 resin will exhibit improvements in impact and thermal cycling resistance, peel and tensile shear strengths and low-temperature mechanical properties compared to non-rubber-modified epoxy formulations. HYPOX® RF1321CB1 resin should be considered for use as the sole resin or as a part of the resin component of your formulation. The optimum concentration of HYPOX® RF1321CB1 resin should be determined empirically. Typical applications generally incorporate 5-15 phr (parts per hundred parts resin) rubber to achieve optimal toughness; higher concentrations improve flexibility.
