HuntsmanEPALLOY® 5001 N
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Product End Uses:Concrete Coating, Floor Coatings, Tank Coating, UV Coating
  • Product Features:Chalking Resistance, Chemical Resistance, Cost-Effective, Fast Cure, Good Gloss Retention, High Filler Loading, Improves Adhesion, Low Viscosity, Low Yellowing Properties, Reduced Shrinkage, UV Resistance, Weather Resistance

EPALLOY® 5001 N Resin is a hydrogenated bisphenol-A epoxy resin with improved chalking resistance and gloss retention to achieve optimal weathering resistance. Formulations based on EPALLOY® 5001 N Resin show improved cure speeds of up to 50% compared to the standard epoxidized hydrogenated bisphenol-A, EPALLOY® 5000 Resin. EPALLOY® 5001 N Resin shows improved adhesion and hardness development while maintaining low yellowing and excellent UV resistance. It contains no unsaturation or aromatic structures, providing excellent resistance to outdoor weathering. Cycloaliphatic amines are the recommended curing agents to achieve optimum weathering resistance, while aromatic compounds or acids should be avoided as they may reduce UV resistance.

  • Product Features:Chemical Resistance, Excellent Adhesive Strength, Excellent Dispersion Properties, Good Toughness, Good Vapor Barrier, High Flexibility, High Shear Stability, High Surface Hardness, Higher Gloss, Highly Thixotropic, Improved Film Hardness, Thermal Stability

Phenoxy™ PK HW-34 dispersion is a waterborne, anionically-stabilized, colloidal dispersion of PHENOXY resin PKHB designed for thermoset coatings and adhesives. The dispersion is a non-Newtonian fluid at room temperature and exhibits very slight thixotropic behavior. PHENOXY resins (polyhydroxyethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesive strength, and vapor barrier properties. PHENOXY resins may be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins, or phenolic resins. Crosslinked PHENOXY resins exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion on many substrates including steel, aluminum, glass, carbon fibers, and plastics such as nylon and polyester (PET). The recommended level of crosslinking range from 5 to 20 phr based on resin solids.
