HuntsmanARALDITE® GZ 488 V 32
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Product End Uses:1K (1 Component) Primer, Anti-Corrosion Coating, Coil Coating, Container Coatings, Container Linings, Zinc Primer
  • Material Compatibility:Amino Resin, Isocyanate Polymers, Phenolic Substrate
  • Product Features:Anti-Corrosion Protection, Excellent Storage Stability, Good Mechanical Properties, High Molecular Weight, High Surface Hardness, Improved Flexibility, Solvent Resistance

ARALDITE® GZ 488 V 32 resin is a very high molecular weight epoxy resin solution. Since film forms without the use of hardener, it produces outstanding surface coatings by air or force drying. In addition, the high hydroxyl content of the resin permits reaction with urea-melamine, and phenol-formaldehyde crosslinking resins to produce excellent baking finishes. Coatings based on Araldite® GZ 488 V-32 resin exhibit excellent adhesion, flexibility. impact and abrasion resistance, and chemical and corrosion resistance.

HuntsmanARALDITE® GZ 7488 V 40
  • Chemical Family:Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
  • Product End Uses:1K (1 Component) Primer, Anti-Corrosion Coating, Can Coatings, Coil Coating, Container Coatings, Zinc Primer
  • Material Compatibility:Amino Resin, Isocyanate Polymers, Phenolic Substrate
  • Product Features:Anti-Corrosion Protection, Excellent Storage Stability, Good Mechanical Properties, Good Toughness, High Molecular Weight, High Surface Hardness, Improved Flexibility, Solvent Resistance

ARALDITE® GZ 7488 V 40 is a solvent solution of a very high molecular weight epoxy resin. It forms a film without the use of a hardener, producing outstanding coatings through air or force drying. Additionally, its high hydroxyl content enables reactions with urea-melamine and phenol-formaldehyde crosslinking resins, resulting in excellent baking finishes. Coatings based on Araldite® GZ 7488 V-40 resin exhibit excellent adhesion, flexibility, impact and abrasion resistance, as well as chemical and corrosion resistance. A unique feature of this resin is its low degree of branching, which provides greater flexibility than the very high molecular weight Araldite® GZ 488 resin. Its more linear structure also results in higher solids content compared to the Araldite® GZ 488 V-32 resin solution.

HuntsmanPHENOXY™ PKHH
  • Chemical Family:Phenoxy Compounds
  • Product End Uses:1K (1 component) Coating, Epoxy Coating, Thermoset Coating
  • Material Compatibility:Aluminum Substrate, Carbon Fiber Substrate, Epoxy (EP) Polymers, Glass Substrate, Metal Substrate, Polyamide Polymers, Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Polymers, Steel Substrate
  • Molecular Weight:52000.0 g/mol
  • Product Features:Chemical Resistance, Excellent Adhesion, Excellent Adhesive Strength, Good Adhesion Property, Good Flexibility, Good Hardness, Good Toughness, Good Vapor Barrier, High Flexibility, High Molecular Weight, High Viscosity, Improved Toughness, Thermal Stability

Phenoxy™ PK HH has a high viscosity compared to most phenoxy resins. Phenoxy resins (polyhydroxyethers) are tough, ductile, amorphous, thermoplastic polymers having excellent thermal stability, adhesive strength, and vapor barrier properties. Phenoxy resins may be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins, or phenolic resins. Crosslinked phenoxy resins exhibit excellent chemical resistance, hardness, and adhesion on many substrates including steel, aluminum, glass, and carbon fibers, and plastics such as nylon and polyester (PET). Phenoxy™ PK HH may also be formulated in single-pack epoxies containing latent hardeners, such as dicyandiamide, providing improved toughness and adhesive strength on substrates when properly cured. Phenoxy™ PK HH is soluble in many polar, aprotic solvents such as MEK, cyclohexanone, and glycol ethers.
