HYPOX® RM22 is an adduct of CTBN with epoxidized cyclohexane dimethanol. Compared to standard epoxy resin/CTBN adducts, the product exhibits a moderate viscosity, coupled with a high rubber content. HYPOX® RM22 adduct is intended for use in combination with standard epoxy resins when the end-use application requires toughening and improved rubber compatibility with DGEBA. HYPOX® RM22 adduct will increase flexibility, crack, fatigue, and peel resistance, and adhesive properties. It will also improve the cathodic disbondment property when used in coating formulations for underground buried pipes in oil and gas transport applications.

HuntsmanHYPRO® 1300X45 ATBN
  • Product Functions:Flexibilizer, Toughener
  • Product End Uses:Corrosion Resistant Coating, Joint Sealants, Mastics
  • Product Features:Cracking Resistance, Excellent Adhesion, Good Toughness, High Impact Resistance, Improved Flexibility, Low Temperature Applications, Wear Resistance

HYPRO® 1300X45 ATBN is a 100% solids liquid rubber used to enhance the toughness, flexibility, adhesion, and impact resistance of thermoset resin systems, including epoxies, vinyl esters, unsaturated polyesters, acrylics, and urethanes. This amine-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, with functionality at the chain ends, is primarily used with other amine-functional compounds to improve product performance. The acrylonitrile content, ranging from zero to 26%, affects the solubility and glass transition temperature (Tg). The amine structure is based on N-aminoethylpiperazine (N-AEP), minimizing excess amine content.
