- Features and Benefits
- ARADUR® 340 is free of organic solvents. It can easily be diluted with water to a minimum of around 20 %, however higher concentrations are preferable to avoid haziness when mixing with resin.
- Excellent pigment wetting, so that pigmentation of ARADUR® 340 is preferred to pigmenting the resin.
- Same gloss at all dilutions. Gloss decreases when pot life has expired. End of pot life is not visible, as viscosity does not change.
- Adhesion is always good on mineral substrates and on metals, both with liquid and solid resins.
- ARADUR® 340 acts as an emulsifier as well as a curing agent. This means that when no emulsifier containing liquid epoxy resins as e.g. ARALDITE GY 250, GY 253 or PY 302-2are mixed with ARADUR® 340, the resulting mix is water-diluable.

- Application Details
Used with liquid emulsified epoxy resins such as ARALDITE PZ 33757-67, or solid type 1 epoxy dispersion such as ARALDITE PZ 3961-1, ARADUR® 340 is suitable for the formulation of water-dilutable coatings for application to mineral and metallic substrates. Particularly suitable for solvent-free dispersion coatings with a high solids content

Technical Details & Test Data
- Mix Ratio
The recommended mix ratio of ARALDITE PY 33757 and ARADUR® 340 is 100:120 parts by weight. Mix ratios between 100:100 and 100:190 parts by weight are possible. The recommended mix ratio of ARALDITE PZ 3961-1 and ARADUR® 340 is 100:21 parts by weight. Deviations from this of up to 10 % can be tolerated. In this connection, a higher proportion of hardener results in greater flexibility and better adhesion, while improved levels of anti-corrosion protection are achieved with a lower proportion of hardener.

Storage & Handling
- Storage Information
ARADUR® 340 should be stored in a dry place, preferably in the sealed original container, at temperatures between 2 and 40°C (temperatures will never be allowed to drop under 0°C). The product should not be stored exposed to direct sunlight. Shelf life (at storage temperature between 2 - 40 °C) (see expiry date on original container) 3 years at least.
