- Key Properties
- Due to its chemical properties, ARADUR® 435 is particularly suitable as an adhesive primer, i.e. providing good adhesion to the substrate and also to the following coating.
- When further diluted with water, ARADUR® 435 tends to assume a milky appearance, however this is not critical in pigmented formulations.
- The working time for dispersion coatings based on Araldite PY 33757 and ARADUR® 435 is limited to a maximum of one hour. After that time there is a distinct deterioration in the gloss finish and resistance to chemical stresses with dispersions of this kind. After two hours it is normal to find that the material separates out into its organic and aqueous phases.

- Application Information
- In combination with liquid epoxy resins such as Araldite® PY 33757 or the emulsion PZ 33757/67, ARADUR® 435 is suitable for the formulation of water-based coatings for application on mineral and metallic substrates.
- It is particularly suitable for solvent-free or low solvent, force-dried dispersion coatings with low binder content.

- Physical Form
- Mix Ratio
The optimum mix ratio for Araldite PY 33757 and ARADUR® 435 is 100:140 parts by weight. The optimum mix ratio for Araldite PZ 33757/67 and ARADUR® 435 is 100:95 parts by weight. Deviations from this of up to 10% are acceptable. In such cases a higher proportion of hardener provides increased flexibility and adhesion, while improved chemical resistance is achieved with a reduced proportion of hardener.
