ARALDITE® GY 285 MBC

ARALDITE® GY 285 MBC is a resin technically identical to ARALDITE® GY 285 and is distinguished by its associated REDcert2 certificate, ensuring that 100% of the fossil raw materials required for the production of this product were replaced by sustainably certified biomass. In the rest of this document, ARALDITE® GY 285 refers indifferently to both resins.

Product Properties
  • For an unmodified epoxy resin, ARALDITE® GY 285 MBC has a remarkably low viscosity.
  • This enables the formulation of relatively low viscous coatings and flooring compounds, which are easy to apply.
  • The reactivity and chemical resistance of such formulations correspond roughly to that of unmodified bisphenol-A epoxy resins and are clearly superior to resins containing reactive diluents.
  • ARALDITE® GY 285 MBC can be mixed in any desired proportion with other epoxy resins.
  • Addition of at least 25% of bisphenol-A epoxy resin or of epoxidized phenol novolak (ARALDITE® EPN 1180) will practically eliminate the tendency to crystallization.
