EPOCAST® 1619-1 A/B

EPOCAST® 1619-1 A/B is a low-density, flame-retardant compound for potting fasteners in honeycomb structures. The lightweight epoxy can be poured or extruded through a 1/8 in. (3mm) nozzle orifice. It is resistant to water, fungus, and most aircraft fluids and qualified for Boeing BMS5-28, Type 19

Mix both components thoroughly for 3 - 5 minutes to assure complete blending. Resin/filler separation may occur. Remix before use. Material temperatures should be above 18°C (65°F) when mixing.

  • To 100 parts by weight of Epocast® 1619 A resin, add 25 parts by weight of Epocast® 1619 B hardener.

Storage & Handling

Storage Conditions
  • EPOCAST® 1619-1 A/B should be stored in a dry place, in the original sealed container at temperatures between 2°C and 40°C.
  • Tightly reseal containers after each use.
  • Under these storage conditions, and when supplied under Huntsman standard certification, the product has a shelf-life of 12 months (from date of manufacture).
  • The product should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
