E-GRADE® Aminopropylmonomethylethanolamine (E-GRADE® APMMEA)

E-GRADE® Aminopropylmonomethylethanolamine (E-GRADE® APMMEA) is primarily used in stripping, cleaning, and wet etching formulations in the semiconductor, display, and PCB industries. Most are water-soluble and contain aminoglycol or polyether structures where both the amine and glycol functions contribute to their performance. The range of primary and tertiary amines structures allows the selection of base strength and corrosion rates based on the needs of the application.

Linear Polarization Resistance Corrosion Rates for 10 wt% Aqueous Amines

    E-GRADE® Aminopropylmonomethylethanolamine (E-GRADE® APMMEA) - Linear polarization resistance corrosion rates for 10 wt% aqueous amines - 1

    • In general, primary amine metal removal rates are higher than secondary and tertiary amines.
    • Aluminum removal rates are highest requiring careful choice of amine.
    • Tungsten and Molybdenum are relatively inert to amines.
