IROSTIC® polyurethane-based raw material is used to manufacture TPU adhesives. Available as a one- or two-component system, the range serves four core markets; solvent-based footwear adhesives; industrial specialty adhesives; non-reactive and reactive hot melt adhesives. IROSTIC® bonding solvent-based systems can be applied using manual brushes, rollers, and spatulas or mechanical spray and air guns. IROSTIC® non-reactive hot melt grades can also be applied as a powder or a film. Features include

JEFFAMINE® range offers the world’s most extensive selection of polyetheramines, many of which are unavailable elsewhere. These highly versatile products contain primary amino groups attached to the end of a polyether backbone normally based on propylene oxide (PO), ethylene oxide (EO), or a mixture of both oxides.

The widespread use of these catalysts in making polyether and polyester foams, coatings, elastomers, and high-modulus urethane plastics attests to the value of our advanced technologies and our 50-plus years of experience with urethane chemicals.

Huntsman produces a variety of JEFFOL® polyether polyols which are essential to the development of flexible foam applications and polyurethane systems for energy-saving insulation.

JEFFOX® products are water-soluble, have relatively high flash points and exhibit excellent compatibility with numerous additives such as antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors, making them particularly useful in the removal and reflow of solder in printed circuit boards, where proprietary oxidation inhibitor packages reduce the rate of degradation at the high temperatures required. Other applications include lubricants, plasticizers, solvents, coupling agents, frothing and defrothing agents, inks, dyes and chemical intermediates.

JEFFSOL® Carbonates act as solvents for many organic and inorganic materials in applications such as surface cleaners, degreasers, dyes, fibers, plastics, batteries, aromatic hydrocarbons and natural gas.

KRYSTALFLEX® TPU films are developed for safety glazing applications and are available in a variety of thicknesses and roll widths. These films are used in complex laminated glazing projects for aerospace, rail, military and bulletproof applications.

Aliphatic-based KRYSTALGRAN® TPU film and sheet grades are a reliable and robust surface protection solution for applications where excellent durability, abrasion and scratch resistance, and strict outdoor UV protection is required. Suitable for use in a wide range of sectors, our KRYSTALGRAN® TPUs are commonly used in OEM and after-market automotive and aerospace paint protection projects.

OMICURE® curing agents, accelerators and catalysts are one-part epoxies which are important to many industries for lightweight, high-performance composites. These additives accelerate cure speed and lower cure temperature in one-part epoxy systems.

PROBIMER® laser direct imaging materials are designed for electronic applications. They provide unique, proprietary binder technology that has been optimized for advanced photo speed, high-resolution and high image accuracy for the production of High-Density Interconnect (HDI) fine-pitch BGA boards. They offer high-registration accuracy and tight clearance in LDI processing.

The RIMLINE® family of formulated polyurethane resins is developed to deliver fast cycle times and lightweight solutions for transportation-related composite applications. RIMLINE® polyurethane systems can provide the following benefits: lightweight material; fast cure resulting in short cycle times; high toughness; high stiffness (i.e. high modulus). RIMLINE® polyurethane systems may be used in a wide range of composite applications including various interior components (e.g. load floors, sunshades), suspension components (e.g. leaf springs) as well as EV battery-related applications. RIMLINE® polyurethane systems offer a robust processing window for a number of manufacturing methods including: pultrusion; long fiber injection (LFI); spray honeycomb; low-and full-density structural reaction injection molding (SRIM); and filament winding.

The RUBIFLEX® family of formulated polyurethane systems is developed to deliver superior comfort and support in transportation-related seating applications. RUBIFLEX® polyurethane systems can provide one or more of the following benefits: high elasticity for excellent vibration transmissibility performance; superior comfort properties; very good durability properties; fit-for-use in thin seat profiles; low emissions; bio-content. RUBIFLEX® polyurethane systems may be used to produce a wide range of seating applications including high resiliency, flexible foam seat pads and semi-flexible foam head restraints, armrests and center consoles. RUBIFLEX® polyurethane systems offer a robust processing window for a number of manufacturing methods such as cut-and-sew, foam-in-place and cold-cure molding. Substrates that may be used with RUBIFLEX® polyurethane systems include PVC, EPP, PUR and barrier-backed leather. RUBIFLEX® systems can also be used in furniture and bedding applications.

MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) is one of the basic components used to make polyurethane foam. Polyurethane foam is made by reacting an isocyanate (MDI) with a polyol. Huntsman sells many differentiated grades of MDI in the Americas under the RUBINATE® name, and in Europe and Asia under the SUPRASEC® name.

RUBITRIM® formulated polyurethane systems are developed to deliver a soft touch and luxurious feel in transportation-related TRIM applications. RUBITRIM® systems can provide customers with benefits including: fast cure; good properties that meet a range of OEM specification requirements; low emissions; compatibility with PVC skins; excellent part-to-part reproducibility. RUBITRIM® systems may be used in trim applications including: semi-rigid backfoam for instrument and door panels; water-blown integral skin for steering wheels and armrests; rigid foams for crash pads and other protective applications; various elastomeric foams for flexible air filters, gaskets and seals; and rigid elastomers for molded body panels. RUBITRIM® systems offer robust processing windows for manufacturing methods such as open- and closed-pour (injection), high-pressure and cold-cure molding. Substrates that may be used with RUBITRIM® polyurethane systems include PVC, EPP, PUR and barrier-backed leather.

The SHOKLESS™ family of formulated polyurethane systems is developed to provide lightweight, thermal, structural and vibration protection in transport-related applications. SHOKLESS™ products are developed for use in the potting and fixation of cells or packs mounted in electric vehicle batteries and for NVH applications targeting vibration dampening devices and components. The SHOKLESS™ range includes a broad spectrum of density options for tunable performance. All products have very good physical and mechanical properties and can offer excellent compression and tensile stress performance across a wide temperature range. Other features and benefits typically include low viscosity for efficient application, broad processing windows for flexible handling, and fast cure at low temperatures. SHOKLESS™ systems are generally compatible with a range of different manufacturing methods such as open- and closed-pour (injection) and cold-cure molding.
