EPOCAST® 1627-2 Epoxy Syntactic is a high-performance, filled, structural core-reinforcing compound with an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, making the material suitable for use in fabricating and reinforcing composite structures. The epoxy syntactic is supplied as a gray-colored, frozen patty (32 or 64 in³ / 524 or 1049 cm³) or Semco cartridge (6 oz or 32 oz), which is ready to use after thawing and does not require weighing or mixing. EPOCAST® 1627-2 is qualified to BMS 5-21, Type 2, specification.

EPOCAST® 1628 A epoxy resin is a soft white paste that, after blending with yellow-colored EPOCAST® 1628 B hardener, becomes a pale yellow, ultra-low-density epoxy syntactic for edge reinforcing of honeycomb structures. EPOCAST® 1629-A/B Epoxy Syntactic is a beige, flame-retardant, ultra-low-density system for edge reinforcing of honeycomb structures. It can be spread with a putty knife and resists slumping on vertical surfaces. EPOCAST® 1629-A/B can be easily sanded and machined once cured. EPOCAST® 1645 A/B is a two-component, ultra-low-density, flame-retardant epoxy void filler designed for edge filling/reinforcing of honeycomb structures used in aerospace interior applications. Both Epocast® 1645 FR A and B are non-sticky, very soft pastes which can be easily mixed and applied manually and are water-cleanable after application. EPOCAST® 1645 A/B sets quickly at room temperature and is sandable shortly after application. It is well-suited for aerospace applications requiring low density, high strength, and rapid component assembly.

HYPOX® RA 1340 is a high-viscosity adduct of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and butadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBN) elastomer. HYPOX® RF 928 N Adduct is an epoxy phenol novolac resin toughened with a CTBN (carboxyl-terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile) co-polymer. With a low viscosity, a functionality of 2.3, and 20% elastomer content, it enhances toughness without significantly affecting Tg. Formulations with this adduct show improved impact, thermal cycling, peel, tensile shear strengths, and low-temperature properties. It also offers better chemical and heat resistance than DGEBA-toughened epoxies at the same rubber level.
