The combination of high shear strength and compression makes this adhesive well suited for transportation, oil and gas, general industrial applications, and other applications requiring high-temperature performance. ELASTAMINE® HT-1100 Amine is a polyether diamine based on poly(tetramethylene ether glycol), or PTMEG. Specifically the product is bis (3-aminopropyl) PTMEG of approximately 1100 molecular weight. The PTMEG backbone provides significant mechanical property benefits as a soft segment in elastomers or as a monomer in thermosets. Amines containing PTMEG may thus be useful in polyamides, polyureas, cured epoxy resins, and other polymers.

ELASTAMINE® RE-900 is an aliphatic polyether diamine with good water solubility. The melting point of RE-900 is around room temperature, making it liquid at room temperature and easy to use. The terminal amino group of polyetheramine products has high activity, making the product suitable for modifying various polymers, such as in the polycondensation reaction of polyamide (nylon) synthesis. By introducing polyetheramine into the polymer main chain, the modified product exhibits better flexibility and hydrophilicity.
