ELASTAMINE® HT-1100 Amine is a polyether diamine based on poly(tetramethylene ether glycol), or PTMEG. Specifically the product is bis (3-aminopropyl) PTMEG of approximately 1100 molecular weight. The PTMEG backbone provides significant mechanical property benefits as a soft segment in elastomers or as a monomer in thermosets. ELASTAMINE® RE-900 is an aliphatic polyether diamine with good water solubility. The melting point of RE-900 is around room temperature, making it liquid at room temperature and easy to use. The terminal amino group of polyetheramine products has high activity, making the product suitable for modifying various polymers, such as in the polycondensation reaction of polyamide (nylon) synthesis.
